Utah State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education
The CE Shop is an approved school in Utah: Code/Approval Number: 6845319-CEPO
Every two (2) years, eighteen (18) clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required.
None of The CE Shop courses count toward the CE hours that mortgage officers or principal/associate lending managers are required to take. The courses are only approved for real estate salesperson and broker licensees with the Utah Division of Real Estate.
- Any licensee, including brokers, may take the New Agent course if they wish and it will count toward their CE requirements.
- Currently, The CE Shop does not offer the 12 hour New Agent course but does offer the additional 6 hours of electives to meet the new 18 hour requirement.
Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
IMPORTANT: The Division of Real Estate states that a licensees CE should be completed by the 15th of the month in order to have the hours banked in time to renew online before the renewal date. The CE Shop reports completed CE courses to the UT Division of Real Estate on Tuesdays, with the exception of the last week of the month, in which The CE Shop reports completed CE course each business day.
Please enter your individual license number correctly and fully when prompted in the registration process to ensure the reporting of your hours takes place. Utah license numbers should be seven (7) digits and end with a dash, followed by two (2) letters and two (2) zeros.
