Requirement Details


Renewal Date: Every 2 years

Hours required: 16 hours

8 of these hours must be in the following Mandatory courses:

  • 2 hours of License Law,
  • 2 hours of Contract Law, and
  • 4 hours of Agency Law.
  • The CE Shop does not offer the 8 Mandatory hours

CE Shop Offering: 8 elective hours

Reporting: We report to MREC on Wednesday of each week except for the last week of the month when we report each business day. It may take 5-7 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours. It is up to the licensee to ensure they complete their CE hours enough time in advance of their renewal deadline to ensure the hours are reported and posted to their licenses in time for their renewal deadline.

Expiration date of course: Courses expire one year after the order date. 

Post Licensing: Salespersons and brokers are required to take a 30 hour Commission prescribed Post-Licensing course within one (1) year of initial licensure. The CE Shop currently does not offer the post-license course at this time.

Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a 75% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass. 

Certificates:  Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time.  Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
