Oregon State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education
The Oregon Real Estate Agency does not approve schools for Continuing Education. Your Managing or Supervising Broker must approve your education. The CE Shop courses are ARELLO certified and have been approved in several other states.
Every two (2) years, 30 clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required.
· Licenses must be renewed by the last day of the licensee’s birth month.
· At least 15 hours must be in one or more of the mandatory topics. Final course approval is at the discretion of each supervising/principal broker.
· Real Estate Courses offered by The CE Shop are real estate continuing education courses for students that have already taken the AP 30 hour post-licensing course in their first renewal period.
· If you are a broker who received their first Oregon real estate license after July 1st, 2002, you must complete an Agency approved 30 hour Advanced Real Estate Practices (AP) post-licensing course before your first active license renewal. Principal brokers, sole practitioner brokers, and property managers are not required to take the AP course. Please contact the Oregon Real Estate Agency for more information on the AP course.
Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state.
Real estate course completions must be done by the licensee by submitting copies of their certificates to their certifying licensees (manager/supervising broker) to have them sign and keep on file in the event of an audit by the Oregon Real Estate Agency.
Please enter your individual license number correctly and fully when prompted in the registration process. Oregon license numbers should be nine (9) digits.
