Indiana State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education

The CE Shop is an Indiana Real Estate Commission Approved Sponsor.

School Code/Approval Number:  Broker – CE10800853 Salesperson – CE10800854. 

Every two (2) years, sixteen (16) clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required. 

·         Salespersons renew by June 30th in even years and Brokers renew by June 30th in odd years.

·         Six (6) hours must be in mandatory real estate course subjects and ten (10) hours must be in elective real estate course subjects.

  • Below are courses that count toward the six (6) of the sixteen (16) hours every two (2) years that need to be in mandatory topics:
o    Keeping it Honest: Understanding Real Estate and Mortgage Fraud (2 hours) – Anti-Trust
o    Title & Escrow: Two Families, One Transaction (2 hours) – Settlement Procedures
o    Breaking Barriers: Fair Housing (2 hours) – Civil Rights Law
  • The Indiana Real Estate Commission requires that all students participating in distance (online) learning spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for our students.

Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time.  Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state.  Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
